Buttered Green Beans and Herbs

It seems like so many people are going out of their way to impress these days. The pressure to style a dinner plate into something Instagram-worthy puts the average and ordinary dishes on the back burner. Why have hotdogs when you can create a masterpiece and then snap it with a beautiful filter for the whole world to admire?

If you’re like me, I do enjoy those beautiful food photos that many are sharing. I just think that it is okay to take the simplest of ingredients and marry it with the right simplest of ingredients to make it pop. It doesn’t have to be fancy.

These buttered green beans are simple on purpose. Freshly picked, lightly steamed and then lovingly tossed in grass-fed butter… it doesn’t get much better than that. Add freshly chopped Italian parsley and a hefty dash of apple vinegar to bring out the brightness and heighten the sweetness.

It doesn’t get much better than that, indeed.

BUTTERED GREEN BEANS

Serves 6-8

Ingredients

2 pounds fresh green beans, ends trimmed

2 tablespoons butter

¼ teaspoon sea salt

1/8th teaspoon black pepper

½ cup of fresh Italian parsley, chopped

2 teaspoons De Nigris Organic Premium Aged Apple Vinegar of Modena

Instructions

1. Steam green beans on stove for fifteen minutes on low heat. Remove from heat.

2. Melt butter in skillet on medium-high heat. Toss green beans in butter until fully coated.

3. Add salt, pepper, parsley, and De Nigris apple cider vinegar. Toss until fully coated.

4. Serve and enjoy!
