There’s just something about food served on toothpicks that make them more fun to eat. Combine that with a food wrapped in bacon and you have yourselves a real winner.

Fall is a time for dinner parties and holiday gatherings, which works out to be a lot of dining and hosting opportunities. For your next gathering, whip out a bunch of these Bacon Wrapped Brussels Sprouts with Balsamic Fig Dip and watch your guests devour them with glee.

Begin by trimming and washing your fresh Brussels sprouts. If you have any sprouts that are extra-large you might also want to cut them in half.

Now it’s time to add the bacon. I found that half a slice of bacon was the perfect length for the majority of my Brussels sprouts. If you want to use some larger Brussels sprouts, then you might need to use an entire piece of bacon.

Once your Brussels sprouts are wrapped in bacon place them on a baking sheet, seam side down and bake. While Brussels sprouts bake, mix Balsamic Vinegar with Fig Preserves for the perfect dipping sauce.

Bacon Wrapped Brussels Sprouts with Balsamic Fig Dip

1 ½ pounds Brussels Sprouts
1-pound bacon

Dipping Sauce

1 tablespoon De Nigris Balsamic Vinegar
3 tablespoons Fig preserves

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Trim the stem ends from the Brussels Sprouts and halve any large sprouts lengthwise. Lay the bacon on a work surface and cut in half lengthwise. Wrap each sprout with a half slice of bacon and place seam side down on baking sheet with a toothpick skewer. Bake for 30 minutes checking occasionally for bacon doneness.

While sprouts cook, mix your dipping sauce. Combine De Nigris Balsamic Vinegar with Fig Preserves until well combined.

Sprinkle cooked bacon wrapped sprouts with salt and pepper. Transfer to a dish and serve with Balsamic Fig Dipping Sauce.

The bacon, Brussels sprouts, balsamic vinegar and fig preserves are a delectable combination that is sure to be a hit. Make sure to make up a bunch for your next dinner party.
