This Sweet and Tangy Broccoli Cauliflower Salad is one of my GO TO salads. It is quick and easy to throw together, loaded with crunch and is filled with delicious flavors in each and every bite. I pair this delicious salad with grilled meats, barbecue sandwiches, or often, just eat it by itself for a lighter meal.
This salad stores really well, intact the flavors are even more delicious the second day. You can place this salad in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the refrigerator. Mix well before serving!
Sweet and Tangy Broccoli Cauliflower Salad
1 head broccoli, chopped
1 head cauliflower, chopped
8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
2/3 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup sunflower seeds, out of shell
1/3 cup red onion, diced
3/4 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons De Nigris Apple Cider Vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
Mix broccoli, cauliflower, bacon, cheese, cranberries, sunflower seeds, and onion in a large bowl. In a medium bowl mix mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, sugar and salt. Pour mayonnaise mixture over broccoli mixture and stir until well combined. Serve immediately.
Tip...if serving later, mix up dressing and veggies separate. Hold in the refrigerator and mix together right before serving.
