What a delicious spin on a Southern classic. We’ve combined crispy fried okra with sweet tomatoes and topped them with a rich, delicious dressing made with De Nigris White Wine Vinegar. This colorful salad is perfect for picnics, potlucks and holiday meals. Enjoy!
Fried Okra Salad
16 ounces frozen okra
3 green onions, sliced
¼ cup diced red bell peppers
¼ cup diced orange bell peppers
12 Constellation tomatoes, halved (or cherry tomatoes)
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
¼ cup De Nigris White Wine Vinegar
¼ vegetable oil
¼ cup sugar
salt and pepper to taste
oil for frying
Preheat oil and fry okra according to package directions. Drain on paper towel lined plate. Mix chopped vegetables and bacon with fried okra in a medium bowl. Mix De Nigris White Wine Vinegar, vegetable oil, and sugar until well combined. Toss Okra Salad with dressing and add salt and pepper to taste. Eat and Enjoy!
